Back To Japan (Fall 09) Day 6...Yakiniku Dinner at Pap House Ebisu

I was able to visit Isako-san at "iga-mono" shop in Ebisu, Tokyo today!

This "iga-mono" , to me, is like a dream Iga-yaki (Iga-style pottery) store, because they sell all the beautiful donabe and other ceramic products from Nagatani-en!! Isako-san, who is the youngest child of Yuji-san (Nagatani-en's chairman) runs the store. It had been a year since I met Isako-san last time, so I was so happy to see her again.

After leaving "iga-mono" shop, I met friends at Pap House Ebisu for dinner. The restaurant is only a short walk from the shop. I'm not a big "meat" person when I am in LA, but whenever I come back to Japan, I just feel like eating good meat. In Japan, meat tastes so good. Tonight, we did Korean-style "yakiniku" (BBQ) beef dinner. At Pap House, they offer almost all different parts of premium quality beef.

The Binchotan Charcoal is the must for the best result of the yakiniku. Appetizers were brought to the table. I've never seen such thick bean sprouts!!

Raw meat duo. Beef heart sashimi, and yukke (steak tartare).

We had about 10 different kinds of beef parts to grill. Tongue, kalbi, belly, 4th stomach, liver, large intestine, etc. etc. They were all so great. I loved everything.

Gochisosama deshita!
