Brunch at Playa, and Family's final evening at Hollywood Bowl

It was already the last full day of my family's stay in LA. They were going back to Tokyo the next day.

We went to Playa for brunch. And, we started with the lovely blue corn muffins again!

My nephew, Wataru, enjoyed the hot chocolate and hamburger. Is he turning American?

My omelet was tasty. My mom's "panqueques" with blueberry and Pedro Jimenez compote was quite decadent.

We enjoyed afternoon shopping etc. Then, we headed to Hollywood Bowl for a concert. It was the first time for my family to come to the bowl and they were so excited.

On our way to the bowl, we picked up our picnic dinner at Tender Greens in Hollywood. My Chipotle Chicken Salad was good. The show was Sergio Gainsbour Tribute. It was a lot of fun, and my mom even cried from joy! 2009 Cartha, Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, was a nice accompaniment for the evening. The wine had elegant berry taste with the smooth palate.
